Annually, LAMTA recognizes an outstanding high school student (taught by a LAMTA member) who positively impacts their community through accompanying. We want to celebrate and encourage young musicians to share their talents not only through solo work but also collaboration. Accompanists are few and far between nowadays, so we hope to inspire more pianists to explore the fun of sharing their love of music with other talented musicians.
